Children with additional needs sometimes need a little extra help keeping their hands busy and bodies calm. The Sensory Studio is a community-minded retail outlet for Parents, Carers and Teachers of Children  with Additional Needs.

We stock a range of Wooden Toys, Educational Supplies, Sensory Resources, Weighted Toys and Occupational Therapy Equipment for children of ALL ages.

We can support Illawarra families in a number of engaging ways:

In the Studio you will find an array of Sensory Resources including Fidgets, Timers, Bed sheets, Sensory Under Clothing, Seamless Socks, Ear Muffs and Chew Necklaces. We also stock the amazing Happy Hairbrush!

We stock Educational Resources, including writing guidelines, pencil grips, time teacher watches, books, journals, games and puzzles.

We have a beautiful range of Weighted Toys and also stock Weighted Lap Pads and Blankets.

We also stock a range of Occupational Therapy Products, including Mini Tramps, Lycra Tunnels and Body Socks, Balance Beams and Swings.

How The Sensory Studio came to be...
I am Erin, a wife and a Mum to two beautiful daughters, aged 12 & 9. My youngest daughter was born with a Bilateral Cleft Lip, Cleft Palate, Hearing loss and a Cardiac defect. By the time she was 6 she was also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. As a mum, I did everything I could to assist raising my daughter with her additional needs so that she could lead a "normal" life. However, I struggled to find sensory aids locally to assist my daughter in my home town of Wollongong... Hence 'The Sensory Studio' in Fairy Meadow was born.
